Date: August 8 - 12 Location: The Hebrew-U, as a part of the World Congress of Jewish Studies

Curator: Rami Ozeri

Artists: Motta Brim, Avigail Fried, Chanan Mazal, Debbie Margalit, Safira Klein

As a part of the Eighteenth World Congress of Judaism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem we, The Jerusalem Biennale Gallery have been invited to present an exhibition called Carmelit: The Artist as a Creative Landscape Template. The objective of this exhibition was for the artists to be influenced by their creations, and to see how every person is shaped by the landscape of their homeland. This is a self-perception experience of how one is shaped by the landscape and private spaces in which one operates. The Carmelit exhibition explores the connection between the land, the home or the studio space, and the artist's image as those are expressed in the work of five painters.
