International Support for The Jerusalem Biennale
The 6th Jerusalem Biennale, the largest platform in the world for Israeli and Jewish art, was scheduled to open November 9th with over 35 exhibitions in 22 prestigious venues around the capital. With works of art already in transit, and artists, curators and visitors flying in from all over the world, the Hamas attack forced Rami Ozeri, the Biennale’s director, to postpone. Now, in an amazing display of unity, some of the artists and curators have mounted exhibitions of The Jerusalem Biennale in their home cities, including New York, Casale Monferrato, and Buenos Aires, and Budapest.

AMIA, in Buenos Aires, the site of the worst terrorist attack in Argentina in 1994, together with independent curator Tammy Kohn, is hosting The Jerusalem Biennale through the exhibition, "And These Are the Names.” Created with the aesthetics of street art, AMIA pays tribute to the 1,400 fatal victims of the massacre committed a month ago by the Hamas terrorist group, demands return of the hostages, and unflinchingly supports Israel. The exhibition creates, in real time, an inspiring demonstration of what it means to stand in solidarity.
