The Jerusalem Municipality, under the leadership of Mayor Nir Barkat, has increased significantly its support in the field of culture and Arts in the last years. The Biennale enjoys enthusiastic support from Deputy Mayor Ofer Berkovich, who is also the head of commercial and cultural development. The professional team in the Municipality Culture and Art department is fully engaged with the Biennale and has chosen it to be the yearly municipal festival.

The Leichtag Foundation honors the legacy of Lee and Toni Leichtag through igniting and inspiring vibrant Jewish life, advancing self-sufficiency and stimulating social entrepreneurship in coastal North San Diego County and Jerusalem. The Leichtag Foundation was the first to identify the potential of the Jerusalem Biennale and to stand behind it.

Founded in 2007 by philanthropist Laurie M. Tisch, the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund supports innovative strategies to address long-standing problems in New York City. The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund aspires to have a positive, lasting impact on well-being and community life.  The foundation’s interest areas are multifaceted, and many programs cross over traditional categories. 

The Jerusalem Development Authority is a statutory corporation which was established by law in 1988. Its functions are to promote, plan and encourage the economic development of Jerusalem; to coordinate between government offices, authorities and bodies involved in the development of Jerusalem; to advise and supply information connected to entrepreneurial initiatives, plans and commercial ventures in Jerusalem.
