The 6th edition of The Jerusalem Biennale will take place March under the title Iron Flock, directed by Ram (Rami) Ozeri.
We are proud to introduce a spectacular season of exhibitions and programming that showcase Jerusalem as a hub on the international contemporary art map.
The theme of the sixth Biennale is Iron Flock, a literal translation of the Hebrew phrase Tzon Barzel. The theme allows for the exploration of the foundations of contemporary culture and to identify, through the eyes of curators and artists from all over the world, the movements, ideas, people, and moments that have become our unsaleable cultural assets. It also gives voice to serious recognition of Jewish and Israeli women artists.
Under this title, Jerusalem venues will host more than 30 exhibitions with the participation of about 300 renowned artists and curators from all over the world. We’re planning a rich events program to take place in all gallery spaces during the seven weeks of the Biennale.
The sixth Biennale is an opportunity to celebrate a decade of creativity and collaboration, and to acknowledge the devoted patrons and partners that have helped position The Jerusalem Biennale as the largest platform in the world for Jewish and Israeli contemporary art.
We can’t wait to see you!
