Desert's Call offers a contemporary look at the desert as an inalienable asset to the local consciousness. The desert has a deep connection with the Israeli collective memory.

A number of works deal with contemporary artistic interpretations of the Book of Numbers, the story of the Israelites’ wanderings in the desert on their way to the Holy Land. Others examine life as an experience of settling the desert, as a space and as a mental process.

The exhibition is presented in a full circle, emphasizing the subject's multidimensionality. It represents a physical and spatial demand for a fresh perspective, shows Israeli cultural and historical assets in a new light, and calls for innovative solutions to the burning questions of Israeli reality.
