with Lonnie Monka
Join us for an evening exploring the relationship between poetry, art, & artist books.
Three English-language Jerusalem-based poets will read original work and discuss the relationship of their practices with other arts. The poets: Betsy Rosenberg, Jane Medved, & Simon Lichman. (MC: Lonnie Monka.)
The event will be held in the exhibition titled "The House is in the Book" which is part of the 2021 Jerusalem Biennale. The exhibition features artist books and a collaborative project by three artists: Andi Arnovitz, Lynne Avadenka, & Mirta Kupferminc. The exhibition curator, Emily D. Bilski, will join the event to discuss the project and its themes, and one of the artist, Andi Arnovitz, will be present for the Q&A.
The event is open to the public, but we will check people's "green passes" to enter, and everyone will be required to wear a mask.
The doors will open at *19:00*, giving people time to enjoy light refreshments and look through the exhibition. The event will begin at 19:30. Please note: the event will be held in the upper gallery on the *top level* of the Jerusalem Print Workshop.
For those who cannot join in-person the event will be *livestreamed* (probably through the Jerusalem Biennale page, but please check on this page for updates about the livestream).
